Site Foreman (Permanent)

Site Foreman.

45 hours per week, Monday - Saturday.

£30k - £37,500 DOE.

Permanent - Canterbury.

Our client is looking for a Site Foreman to join their team at their Shelford Landfill.
Your main roles will be to take full responsibility of the day to day running of the Shelford Landfill site. Working individually or as a member of a team, carrying out a variety of manual, machine and computer operating duties relating to the landfill and associated activities, including the reception and placing of waste delivered into the landfill facility.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures are followed at all times.

- To co-ordinate landfill operations to ensure that waste is dealt with efficiently at the site and is handled and treated in the correct manner complying with all legislative requirements and contracted conditions.

- To be available by telephone for emergency call out.

-Working outdoors in all weathers, working in unpleasant environments.


Key qualifications:

- Educated to at least GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

- Full current driving license.

- Be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety Operating Procedures.

- Demonstrate a good knowledge of waste disposal procedures and equipment.

- Previous experience of working in waste / construction industry.
