Job Title: Senior Planning Officer

Location: Cromer, Norfolk

Salary: £31,401 to £35,229 plus benefits including £5,000 Golden Hello payment, relocation package and essential car user allowance

Job Role

The Council is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join their forward thinking and dynamic planning department here at North Norfolk District Council (NNDC). NNDC is an ambitious authority looking to realise its development aspirations and deliver growth whilst at the same time seeking to maintain the important qualities that make North Norfolk such a special and popular place to live, work and visit.

Major Projects Team:

The Major Projects team helps deliver significant housing and economic development schemes across the district. They also help support the agriculture and tourism industry and work on some of the largest renewable energy projects in the country. Your role as part of a small and friendly team would be to determine such schemes in a district where there are many competing issues including sensitive and valued landscapes and a large number of heritage assets. This is a challenging but equally rewarding role where your experience and creativity will prove invaluable in helping deliver North Norfolk's future growth aspirations.

Development Management Team:

The Development Management team delivers a varied case load of applications including commercial schemes and small scale residential. The team deals with large volumes of cases each year so you need experience of managing and delivering a large workload efficiently, effectively and to a high standard. What makes this role both interesting and stimulating is the opportunity to determine applications affecting both sensitive landscapes and heritage assets which are a key part of North Norfolk's character
