Accounts Receivable Manager / Credit Manager (Permanent)

You're a senior credit professional - so you'll know that there are few jobs in the North East that will allow you to progress your career.

When that chance comes up with a PLC business, helping to manage one of the largest credit departments in the North East, whilst being mentored by one of the region's most respected leaders in credit management, that job, is almost unique.

You'll manage an Accounts Receivable section of 26 staff, part of a team of 47. Your three direct reports are the Managers of two regional teams and one national accounts team. You'll work alongside the Credit Risk Manager. She'll share with you her knowledge, and you'll benefit from her 13 years' worth of experience in the business. You'll both report to the Head of UK Credit.

The Head of UK Credit is an inspirational lady. She returned to this business at the start of the year, having progressed here, earlier in her career. She's successfully revitalised a department that has experienced change over the past two years - staff are positive and engaged.

You will develop your AR team. They are open to change. You'll understand how to manage different personalities and how to bring the best out in people. You'll bring leadership and will work with your Team Managers to set collections targets, implement KPI's and review achievements.

You'll have the freedom, and the backing, to suggest and implement process improvements that will drive performance and results. The business has grown again in the last 6 months and made further acquisitions - all of which will, naturally, impact the work of accounts receivable - and that's an exciting challenge.
