Technical Trainer (Contract)

Technical Trainer Required in Witney, Oxfordshire

Established in 1907, Meech International has a worldwide reputation in the development of electrostatic control equipment, compressed air technology and surface cleaning systems.  Meech prides itself on unparalleled technical application knowledge and customer service.

Due to continuing business requirements, Meech are now looking to recruit an experienced part-time Technical Trainer to join the team on a temporary basis to support our project to design and develop an online knowledge/training hub for employees and distributors.

This role is offered on with part-time hours based on 3 days per week for approximately 6 months;

What will I be responsible for?

Joining the team as a Technical Trainer, you will take on a varied role with responsibilities including:

• Design a range of engaging and informative on-line and classroom training programmes which will include product and soft skills training;
• Liaise with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training modules and the development of a modular learning framework;
• Make recommendations for awards for the achievement of certain levels;
• Design relevant end of training/module assessments, including on-line, to measure the competence of learners.
• Review and improve the current training evaluation process and implement a process for the online training evaluation.
• Investigate and implement options for maximising the use of video conferencing and webinars for training and product updates.
• Review our existing training week, content and structure. Make recommendations for improvement and implement as appropriate;
• Implement a Learning Management System to support the knowledge/training hub;
• Review options for other hardware requirements to support the knowledge/training hub;

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Trainer who has strong technical training design background with experience in designing soft skills training. You will also require:

• Design of sales training would be advantageous;
• Good commercial understanding, ideally including training of distributors;
• Excellent communication, influencing and project management skills;
• Experience of managing similar training projects is required;
