Due to the need for us to upgrade and modernise our systems, we are expanding and looking for highly skilled Analyst Programmers to join our friendly team.

Analyst Programmer Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and upgrade existing bespoke systems
  • Work with business users to understand and gather requirements to enable the design of new systems and make enhancements to existing applications.
  • Provide support for the existing systems including troubleshooting technical issues and identifying any modifications needed.
  • Produce technical documentation of development work, including user guides where appropriate.
  • Ensure all development work is fully tested with documented evidence.
  • Deliver projects to agreed deadlines and escalate any issues in a timely fashion.
  • Provide user training for new or changed system functionality and coach/mentor more junior members of the team.
  • Liaise with third party software suppliers.

The ideal Analyst Programmer:

  • RPG ILE / RPG free format
  • CL Programming
  • SQL (embedded and interactive)
  • DDS / Display files
  • System / application design experience
  • Database design experience
  • Systems / business analysis
  • Requirements gathering
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Any experience with RDi, DDL, EDI, web development (HTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery/PHP), XML, JSON, consuming and developing APIs would be considered an advantage.
