LGV Driver (Permanent)

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit an LGV Driver for our Wet Waste team in Taunton.

LGV Driver Responsibilities include:

• Receive instructions from the Traffic Office regarding jobs to be done and carry them out efficiently, in accordance with the law and the best interests of the customers and the Company.
• Liaise with line management and advise of any factors affecting operations, observed or commented upon by customers making any suggestions which may improve efficiency or service.
• Ensure correct use of equipment for the job.  Ensure any defects are reported following company procedure.
• Ensure the legal requirements are complied with by following the work instructions provided and EMS procedures, as indicated by line management.
• Complete daily documentation ensuring that the necessary information is recorded fully and legibly.
• Prepare Tachograph Disc and produce driver’s card as required by law, and ensure that hours and working arrangements are within EEC legal limits

The ideal LGV Driver:

• Good geographic knowledge of the area serviced by the Logistics Unit
• Thorough knowledge of current legislation of LGV vehicles, Including EU and WTD drivers hours regulations
• Full Driving Licence.
• Category CE (Class 1) License is essential
• Driver CPC
• Experience of driving LGV vehicles in a commercial environment
