Bodyshop/Workshop Controller - Automotive (Permanent)

Bodyshop/Workshop ControllerResponsibilities:

As our Bodyshop/Workshop Controller you’ll be operating within the Bodyshop department. The main purpose of the Controller is to ensure the effective running of the department in providing quality services to its customers and to achieving the department’s annual sales targets and controlling expenses.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Supervision of productive work force.
• Instigate Quality Assurance.
• Distribution of work to technicians and schedule allocation of work.
• Provide Technical assistance.
• Develop and implement a production plan to achieve department sales targets.
• Provide repair cost Estimates and accurate work timings to customers.
• Liaise with the invoicing department and prepare final costings for invoicing.
• Ensure Statutory requirements are fulfilled by operators (health and safety, COSHH etc.)
• Monitor and record all work in progress, providing accurate accounts of material stocks and labour stocks.

The ideal Bodyshop/Workshop Controller:

In order to be successful for this position, you will need to be highly ambitious, confident and possess previous experience within a similar Bodyshop environment. You will also need:

• Experience of managing and developing advanced Bodyshop workshops or fabrication facilities ideally with high end design thresholds.
• 2+ years’ experience in supervision.
• 2+ years’ experience in Body Building and or Body repair cost estimating.
• An eye for detail.
• Previous people management and leadership experience.

Additional company benefits at Vospers:

Salary Expectation – from £21,000 - £23,000 Dependent on experience with an annual bonus paid monthly on met financial targets.
Location: Threemilestone
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30 (40 hours per week)
Annual leave: 22 days a year plus 8 days bank holiday
