This Society is seeking a new Events, Shows & Development Manager to take the organisation forward. This is a senior position within the society which is both a registered charity and owner of a busy and successful commercial showground.

The Role

The post-holder will lead the Society’s Shows team responsible for organising, running and developing three major annual events: a County Show, a Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show and the region’s premier B2B agricultural machinery exhibition. The brief will also include exploring and developing new opportunities.

This is a high-profile position driving the delivery of the charity’s prime objectives: to support and promote agriculture. Key to the role will be keeping shows relevant, commercially appealing and looking to build on current strong business foundations, including developing sponsorship initiatives, and the management and promotion of our educational grants, apprentice schemes and award activities.

The post-holder will work to the Society’s board through the Chief Executive. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

About You

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Innovative, successful and experienced events manager with strong marketing, PR, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Experienced within a senior management role
• Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders and the development of strong professional relationships is essential
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task while maintaining a keen eye for detail
• 6+ Years in Events Management
