An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join our client, a leading financial institution, to assist with the management and delivery of short/medium term analysis projects within Property, Workplace and Estates.


Key skills & experience required:

  • Proven ability to work across geographic regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
  • Demonstration of commerciality with strong financial acumen
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
  • Experience in analysis and managing projects/ change for a financial institution or multi-national organisation is desirable.
  • Evidence of ability to make /understand the requirements for making strategic decisions
  • Delivery of complex / Change programmes at pace, developing high performing interchanging teams to support delivery at each stage
  • Strong people and team management experience
  • Proven implementation, change management and benefits realisation experience
  • Planning and Plan Management including Process Re-engineering
  • Ability to create Business Cases and Benefits Realisation
  • Change and Implementation Management
  • Innovation and Idea Management

Programme Management responsibilities for the candidate will include:

  • Receives and records a clear Brief on ad-hoc analysis projects; mobilises and co-ordinates appropriate data sources and other team resources; planning and delivering the desired outputs and associated reports, presentations and communication.
  • Plans effectively around delivery constraints and optimises the plan to maximise benefits and minimise risk.
  • Working with Head of Function and global strategic supplier partner obtains buy-in, collaborates and influences senior management stakeholders for all key programme plans, commitments and changes.
  • Proactively determine, analyse and identify performance metrics and measurements and dictates improvement plans to track and drive delivery.
  • Generate data reports and analytics to support business activities, projects, product planning, performance measurement for decision making.
  • Actively manages and co-ordinates the programme plan/roadmap, handling changes as they arise and keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed change outcomes and benefits.
  • Anticipates and identifies existing or emerging risks/issues.
  • Oversees the tracking of strategic programme risks/issues/dependencies, assesses the impact on the benefit realisation for the programme and takes action to minimise impact, actively challenging and removing obstacles.
  • Plans and manages the implementation of the change, to ensure business benefits are realised and that the transition from current state to target state is smooth. Ensuring that CRE and the organisation audiences are ready, willing and able to function in the new business environment.
  • Works closely with strategic supplier partners on planning, design and delivery, bringing together delivery partner teams; actively managing dependencies between these teams and other projects and programmes.
  • Acts as a change leader - a visible and clear leader for programmes and the delivery of outcomes and benefits
  • Identifies and removes barriers to programme success
  • Promotes pace and energy and leads by example
