We now have an exciting opportunity to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Revenue Assistant Analyst to join our team based in Exeter.

What will you be doing?

The Revenue Assistant Analyst will be a key member of the Revenue Team reporting to the Revenue Analyst. You will be involved in the monthly reporting and detailed analysis of revenue, including the split between the 4 Ofwat revenue controls, alongside quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting.

The non-household market in England opened to new retailers in April 2017. Given this change, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Settlement process and working closely with the Wholesale Service Desk to ensure timely process and control. Key Revenue Assistant Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Revenue Analyst with the preparation of the month end commentary
  • Complete the revenue balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bulk data preparation and analysis to assist the revenue team in monitoring and explaining revenue.
  • Support for half year and year end revenue disclosures
  • Support the production of the annual tariff model and budget
  • Extraction of actual Non-Household multipliers at required points in time
  • Process, analyse and review all financial settlements
  • Prepare all Credit Support Notices
  • Maintain the retailer statements, immediately highlighting late/non payment
  • Review all invoices for accuracy before issue, and all refunds before payment

What do you need?

  • AAT qualified or QBE
  • Previous experience in a finance role
  • Sound knowledge of Management Accounting (accruals/prepayments/journal processing)
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, lookup formulas)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Ability to consistently deliver accurate and timely financial information
