Job title: Senior Embedded Software Developer
Location: Cardiff
Acorn is working in a recruitment partnership with a leading electronics' company based in Cardiff that design and manufacture electronic devices to assist people with disabilities to drive.
We are looking for a self-motivated and imaginative Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their existing Cardiff-based team.
As a Senior Embedded Software Developer, you will:
* Be highly proficient at designing software architectures and developing well documented embedded software in C.
* Support and refine existing project code and develop structured code for new systems.
* Opportunity to be involved in the design of new products and solutions including PCB layout design (Proteus), 3D printing using Solid works etc.
* Ensure all designs comply with the product specifications, current local legislation and regulatory standards and provide software documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Essential requirements:
* 2:1 or first class degree in a relevant subject.
* 8 years minimum experience in embedded C.
* Experience in real-time, embedded C for ST ARM processors including using uVision IDE is essential and knowledge of LIN and CANbus technology.
* Knowledge of microcontrollers or embedded microprocessors.
