Excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor!
This is an opportunity for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join well established and continuously developing team based at their East London office.
Our client will have projects not only in London, but also surrounding areas. Our client works with number of local authorities and housing associations to deliver projects of value up to 1.5m. It’s a great opportunity for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with some experience in the housing sector.
What will you be doing?
As our client’s Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you will communicate with supply chain and team members regarding new and current projects. You will prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products. You’ll ensure timely completion of estimates and understand the scope of work to bid, managing pricing from all suppliers.
The successful Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will prepare cost analysis whilst establishing and maintaining working relationships with subcontractors.
What do you need?
- Extensive experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying
- Relevant qualifications in Estimating or Quantity Surveying
- Be able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates
- A strong understanding of residential construction processes and refurbishment
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, and estimating software/tools
- Be able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Impeccable problem-solving skills
- Review and evaluate cost estimates
