HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSULTANT

Salary: £30-35k + benefits

Position Overview

The role of Principal Health & Safety Consultant is to provide competent and proportionate advice and support to our existing and prospective clients.  The candidate will work proactively with our clients to ensure that they have, and maintain a culture that promotes safe working practices across their organisation supported by other group companies.

Skills & Abilities

• A relevant professional qualification e.g. NEBOSH General, Construction, Fire, Diploma.
• Tech, Grad member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
• Principal contractor site safety advisor experience.
• Experience of acting as CDM Co-ordinator or Principal Designer desirable.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
• Presentation and client facing experience and skills.
• Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently using own initiative.
• The ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
• Extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and best practice.
• Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in a public sector environment.
