The role

The aim of the role of Project Manager is to support the L&D Business partner in the development and delivery of the Learning programme.

Key responsibilities include: Supporting the L&D Business partner in scoping the type of learning content to be developed for each of the priority areas (for example, video, animation face to face, guidance documentation), Planning the schedule for development and deployment of learning content in line with the priorities established by the organisation.

Working with External Relations experts and L&D BP to establish the standards and house style to be applied to all learning content development.

Managing the delivery of the schedule:

Working with internal stakeholders to confirm objectives and scope for each learning module within the programme; coordinating the contribution of subject matter experts through the development and delivery phase to ensure content and context are correct, the development of internal material to support the learning is in line with the schedule and involvement with the development of the materials is planned and agreed.

Working with the external content provider to ensure the timely development and delivery of content in line with the contract and schedule. Coordinating the input to any filming as required. Establishing and utilising an internal checking and verification process to ensure the quality and accuracy of content developed.

Tracking and reporting on progress against the project schedule, anticipating and mitigating possible issues that are likely to impact on delivery. Escalating in a timely manner, any issues that they cannot be resolve. This includes monitoring spend against budget.

The Person

The key person attributes required to fulfil this role include: demonstrating an understanding of Learning and Development, objectives based learning and use of blended approaches to learning including video and eLearning. Experience of delivering projects successfully; knowledge of project management methodology; experience of scheduling project activities, monitoring and reporting, producing and maintain project documentation. Proficiency with MS office including Excel and outlook; adaptable and flexible approach willing to learn new skills, e.g. use of Microsoft Teams if not already familiar. Ability to work well within a team; able to deal with people at all levels; excellent relationship, communication and planning skills; ability to challenge and/or clarify information;

Experience of managing relationships with external suppliers to deliver to time, quality and budget.
