Finance Assistant (Contract)
Finance assistant supporting basic financial duties surrounding sales invoicing, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The role is required to enable the Finance Manager and Accountant to spend time on a ERP project implementation. As such the duties required to be performed by this role will be varied and ad hoc in nature.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Finance Manager and Accountant
* Sales invoicing, including emailing and posting to customers, and entering into customer billing systems
* Accounts Receivable tasks mainly centered on remittances and dealing with customer queries
* Accounts Payable invoices to be scanned and emailed, and statement reconciliations
* Creating invoices and credit notes on Excel
Must have skills
* Good Excel skills (but not involving creating formulas and macros)
* Basic understanding of how a General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledger works
* Ability to switch between different tasks as required
* Good written and oral communication skills to enable talking to customers and / or suppliers, as required (most communication would be via email)
