Lead Maintenance Engineer (Permanent)
Morson International are currently recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis for one of our leading UK Manufacturing clients in the Doncaster area.
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus + pension + holidays + overtime
Hours / shifts: Days based position - On call rota
The Person:
* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 or above in Engineering - ESSENTIAL
* Time served / Multiskilled - Electrically or Mechanically biased
* Various backgrounds considered: Manufacturing, Automotive, Food, Distribution Centres, Automated Warehouse, Recycling, Biomass, Packaging or Printing, Chemical Plant, Brewery, Paper, Manufacturing Plant, Electromechanical / Automated Plant
* Health and safety focused, good awareness and a can do attitude.
Desirable Skills:
* Drives, inverter drives, Instrumentation
* PLC fault finding and rectification knowledge
* Knowledge of 5s and lean initiatives
* Hydraulic and pneumatics
The Job:
* Ensure planning & coordination of all planned/unplanned maintenance activities (to also include maintenance shutdowns) are completed in a timely manner
* Manage the maintenance budget to ensure costs are controlled
* Monitor production process and machinery performance
* Lead continuous improvement activities to improve plant / maintenance efficiencies
