Sustainability Consultant - degree in politics or energy sciences?

This is a great opportunity to take your political passion or environmental / energy / sustainability academic background and move into a role based in the heart of Westminister! Our client work to lobby politicians on certain chemical and sustainability issues on behalf of their members. Based in the centre of hustle and bustle, your role will be to shape and influence strategy - making a meaningful change on behalf of the industry and member companies.

The position will be to

Support the associations sustainability work programme in particular by informing the sector's approach to net zero GHG emissions, the circular economy, sustainable finance, and the UN SDGs.

Support and contribute to the associations work on climate policy including lobbying, responding to consultations, managing member committees, contributing to workshops and advising member companies.

Conduct research and analyse relevant energy market data to support the associations work on climate change and sustainability.

Work closely with relevant government departments and regulator on policy impacts for the sector.

Build and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders across the climate and sustainability agenda

Contribute to our electronic and printed communications which includes writing reports, articles and tweets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Educated to degree level ideally within Sustainability, Politics, Energy or enviornmnetal related areas

Passion to work within an influencing / lobbying role - keen to learn and develop

Any experience within circular economy, net zero emmission proojects etc is welcomed but not expected.
