Daniel Owen are pleased to be working with a long standing client of the business and a leading Recycling & Waste Management company on a Plant Fitter/Mechanic position on a permanent basis located in Bristol.
You will be responsible for conducting maintenance, repairs, servicing, and inspections on excavators, diggers, dumpers, and rollers, among other equipment.
- Perform both minor and major repair tasks at depots and customer sites.
- Diagnose faults in electrical and hydraulic equipment.
- Conduct inspections for equipment departing or returning to the depot.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues for repairs and breakdowns.
- Execute services in accordance with manufacturer's standards.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in workshop and external depot areas.
- Occasionally undertake repair and servicing work at customer sites (with provided transportation).
- Report directly to the Workshop Supervisor for all activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with plant and construction equipment is necessary.
- Possession of a full UK driving license.
- NVQ in Construction plant maintenance and repair or an equivalent qualification.
- Preferably, possess welding skills. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills.
