Key Responsibilities:

As the Supervising Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Providing personalised support and supervision to foster carers, children, and young people.
  • Inspiring and nurturing the potential of both foster carers and young individuals through reflective and creative approaches.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours on-call service, demonstrating your commitment to wrap-around support for foster carers.
  • Actively contributing to the growth and development of the Fostering service.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should:

  • Possess a reflective and creative approach to social work.
  • Have relevant professional qualifications in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Demonstrate experience in fostering-related social work or child social care settings.
  • Exhibit proficiency in identifying the needs of young people and making professional assessments.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding issues.
  • Hold a valid driving license and have access to a car.
