Team Manager - Children in Care - Up to £62,087

Nonstop Care is working with a local authority that is looking for an experienced Team Manager to join their Looked-after Children in the Berkshire area.

As a Team Manager, this role will allow you to build effective relationships with your team and create a positive work environment, increasing job satisfaction for both you and social workers you work with.

Your Responsibilities:

  • To manage the overall decision making, planning and delivery of services to service users and their families.

  • To manage the service and a team of staff within the legislative and procedural framework of the City Council

  • To manage the allocated budget of the service and team for which the Manager is responsible.

  • To manage the development of strategic policy and procedures within the Departmental Business planning processes.

  • To manage Children's Social Care within a Performance Management Framework that supports the priorities of the Service, Department and Council


Requirements:

  • Hold a professional Social Work qualification and registration. (SWE)

  • Post-qualified experience, demonstrate experience in a Team Manager role.

  • Strong understanding of Children in Care / Child Protection

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Prior experience of coaching/ mentoring/co-working/supervision/ practice teaching.

  • Must drive and have access to own vehicle.

  • Clear, Enhanced DBS
