Salary: Scale 3 - £20,867 per annum (Actual gross salary)

Job Type: Part time, Permanent

Working Hours: 31 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for Teaching Assistants to join our Learning Support Team which includes our Designated Special Provision. Our Learning Support Team is committed to inspiring and supporting our students who have additional needs, to reach their potential. You will be involved in a combination of in-class, one-to-one and small group support across a range of subject areas. Part of your role will be to assist students with eating, dressing and hygiene to ensure their wellbeing, safeguarding and health and safety, whilst encouraging independence.

Role Purpose:

  • Contribute to the development and provision of the highest quality of education at Plumstead Manor School.
  • Contribute to the development and provision of an inclusion curriculum and to tailored support across the Learning Support Department and Inclusion Services.
  • Contribute to the development of a framework and culture of 'early help' across the school.
  • Contribute to the cultivation of a school ethos founded on success and harmony, promoting excellence and equality for all in a diverse community.
  • Make sure that young people of all abilities and backgrounds fulfil their potential.
  • Engage all young people in interesting and engaging learning.
  • Contribute to partnerships with outside organisations and agencies which positively influence the provision in the school and its reputation and 'brand' within the wider community.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and a positive ethos across the school based on the school vision.

About you:

It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills (Maths and English qualification to Level 2). Experience of working with 'K' and 'Q' Students and those with an EHCP is desirable. We can offer you good professional development and a friendly team.
