Job Title: Construction Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing construction projects with a minimum value of £60 million. Reporting directly to the Project Director, the Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures.
  • Oversee onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues and challenges to minimise delays and cost overruns.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Construction Manager on Tier 1 construction projects with a minimum value of £60 million.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
