Daniel Owen is an established recruitment consultancy specialising in the placement of quality temporary and permanent workers to all roles in the Built Environment. We work with some of the UK's largest and most respected construction, maintenance and engineering companies.

Project Manager responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire project life-cycle of projects including commercial new builds, refurbishments and fit-outs
  • Develop and implement project management plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to client requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee subcontractor selection and management, ensuring efficient communication between subcontractors and management to ensure efficient performance is carried out throughout the construction phase
  • Provide strong leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment while effectively managing resources and resolving conflicts
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures to ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders to manage expectations throughout the project life-cycle
  • Manage change orders, variations, and contractual claims, ensuring timely resolution and cost control
  • Implement health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company policies
  • Prepare project reports and presentations for senior management, providing clear insights into project performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Project Manager requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in Project Management, ideally on commercial and educational new builds for a tier two contractor
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of project management software and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office and Excel
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle construction processes and best practice
