Business Analyst (Permanent)

Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Business Analyst for our team based in Taunton.

The Role:

Joining our team, the Business Analyst will develop and continuously improve systems for gathering and analysing business data, both financial and non-financial, to identify potential areas of risk and within National Accounts.

You will design reports, dashboards and interactive visuals to inform relevant stakeholders and assist with decision making and propose courses of action to deliver improvements and continuously monitor delivery of identified actions. Duties include:

• Develop processes and reports to analyse customer profitability. 
• Provide guidance on customer price management to CBMs to help them perform the annual price increase process.
• Design processes and reports to monitor round performance, including measuring profit, route density and capacity. 
• Assist commercial managers with large contract and tender pricing. 
• Appraise contract performance against original assumptions on a regular basis.
• Support the Head of Collections and the Collections Business managers during the key financial periods
• Analyse gains and losses and produce reports and insights on sales activity and customer attrition. 
• Use geographical and round performance analysis to assist the sales team in identifying targeted infill sales opportunities.

The ideal Business Analyst:

• Knowledge of Gatehouse, Skipman, Elipse systems and working knowledge of Power BI to produce interactive visuals and dashboards
• Ability to extract, combine and manipulate datasets to identify trends and exceptions
• Waste Industry experience, particularly the commercial collections
• Advanced user of Excel, pivot tables, model design and scenario analysis, graphical display
• Previous experience in analysing financial performance
• AAT qualified or similar
• Driving licence
