Facilities Manager (Permanent)

Customers include research scientists at pharmaceutical and biotech companies, food and agriculture, personal care, fine chemical companies and scientists at major academic and government life science research centers.

The Facilities Manager role:

Reporting to the Production Services Manager, the Facilities Manager will take responsibility for all facility and building services functions across our site in Ystrad Mynach. The Facilities Manager will also undertake environmental, safety and waste auditing and support all new builds / modifications to any services or structures.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all scheduled service, maintenance and inspections of plant onsite, such as compressor servicing, fire / intruder security systems, lifting equipment
• Co-ordinating with all contractors to ensure that the necessary RAMS, Insurance documentation and references are provided and reviewed prior to works commencing
• Compile and support the writing of relevant documentation including risk assessments, permits to work - to ensure safe working practices
• Maintain a record of all documentation, including drawings, sketches, calculations and records, ensuring a full traceability for auditing purposes
• Ability to oversee or support in all building maintenance and new development projects
• Responsible for waste management and cleaning systems across site

The ideal Facilities Manager:

• IOSH / NEBOSH qualified
• ISO 14001 internal auditor, 5S / housekeeping auditor
• Strong practical and problem solving ability
• Ability to read and understand site drawings / schematic diagrams
• Conversant with Microsoft Office
• Full clean UK driving License
