Acorn is looking for an experienced, commercially focused Head of Marketing and Product Management to join their client, a specialist manufacturer based in South Wales and its UK based management team.

Key duties include:

*To develop and lead product marketing strategies which maximise the commercial benefit of new and existing products
*To coordinate and drive effective product-focused engagement between key department, including Research & Development, Sales Teams and Finance

This is a dynamic role suited to a self-starter who isn't afraid to push and prides themselves in making a real difference to the commercial success of the business. This is an important strategic role which will report directly to the Group's board of directors.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will have a strong ability to prioritise workload, communicate effectively with various departments and show great attention to detail. You will be able to analyse market and financial information and form and deliver marketing strategies which deliver attractive commercial returns.

Responsibilities will include:

*Develop, lead and own the marketing strategy for the business development of the company
*Plan and deliver marketing activities to agreed budgets, timescales and commercial objectives
*Oversee the entire marketing life cycle of all product development
*Maintain and grow existing and new customer accounts through individual relationship management and providing support to other customer facing departments, such as Sales and Supply Chain
*Foster and maintain commercially focused relationships with relevant key opinion leaders (KOLs)
*Develop and maintain market models based on market research, competitor analysis and customer feedback with a focus on return on investment
*Working with the Marketing Communications department, to build brand awareness and positioning, including conferences and the effective use of social media channels and analytics
*Lead a global team of Product Managers including setting priorities and managing the delivery of objectives
*Being a key member of the Head Office management team with responsibility for Marketing and Product Management key performance indicators (KPIs)

The candidate:

*Minimum three years' experience within medical devices would be a distinct advantage
*Successful track record in senior marketing roles as evidenced by commercial results
*Must possess drive and energy, a commercial mindset and strong project management skills
*Strong organisational and good interpersonal skills
*Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
