Description:

Join a world leading aerospace manufacturing company as an Assembly Integration & Test (AIT) Manager to play a key role in the next generation of space platforms that our client is developing. Role is in charge of directing and developing all the teams dedicated (skills) and associated means to the Integration & Test Operations of a perimeter

**role has remote working aspect for first phase of project, and those looking for part time will be taken into consideration**

Main missions:

  • Guarantees proper operationally of products at lower costs, during the various phases of their life cycles: design, development and validation of models and prototypes, testing and development during the manufacturing phase, on-site inspection and maintenance at the customer level
  • Verify the relevance and the efficiency of the implemented tests through evaluation methodologies like «cones of test» or relevant other standards for the domain
  • Performs the all sequence of integration tests and the associated technical analysis for complex systems and/or products either in a series phase or during an under development phase within a production line
  • Plays a key role in introducing and managing change and developing continuous improvement culture

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all the domains of the Integration & Testing, manage and lead teams (Hierarchical and/or Functional) with a high level of technicality, contribute to evolutions of means, through a deep knowledge in most or all domains of the concerned perimeter
  • Contribute to the deployment within the production phase of new products, and to the development of new processes, standards or operational plans based upon Industrial strategy in the Integration & test domain, with a significant mid & long -term impact on production unit/function overall results.
  • Convince others within the organization where strong interest exists to accept new concepts, practices, means and approaches for a better management of the production workflow (Relevance and efficiency of tests)
  • Analyse complex issues and modify working methods and techniques within the Integration & Testing domain
  • Manages workload plan
  • Supervisor of daily activities in the facility
  • Responsible for the estimation of labour and material costs
  • Implementation of assembly, integration and test
  • Responsible of main work packages including cost
  • Responsible for programmatic and technical aspects of the AIT
  • Responsible for the development and updating of the AIT documentation
  • Controls the deployment of the AIT plan and the global planning of the tasks with the support of the scheduling and the competence centre
  • Responsible for logistics related to external environmental facilities and launch preparation
  • Implementation of integration of the payload and testing of the satellite
  • Participates to the system risk analysis
  • Supports program reviews (PDR, CDR, FMCR,…)
  • Organises AIT reviews
  • Specifies the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) needs of the program including Mechanical GSE (MGSE), Electrical GSE (EGSE) (hardware and software), Optical GSE (OGSE) and Fluidic GSE (FGSE)
  • Responsible of the availability of test tools and GSE
  • Organises the transfer of end product to the next phase in the project (including availability of documents and necessary tools)
  • Captures lesson learnt and leads the review meetings

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • MUST have proven experience within a space craft Assembly Integration and Test environment
  • clean rooms & environmental test facilities experience essential
  • Experience of working in a multi-discipline team environment
  • Experience of working closely with customers, partners and suppliers

Desirable:

  • Experience in technical proposal preparation would be an asset
  • Engineering Degree or similar experience
