Nursery Practitioner (Permanent)

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner (Level 2/3 Qualified)

Location: London

Salary: Up to £22,000 per year (Experience Dependent)

*A minimum qualification of level 2/3 in childcare is required*

Key Responsibilities:

• To deliver a range of play opportunities in a safe and caring environment in accordance with the requirements of the Children’s Act and the EYFS.
• To contribute to the planning and resourcing of activities and play opportunities that develops children’s individual needs.
• To promote the safety and good health of children, self and others by ensuring risk assessments are carried out regularly.
• To communicate effectively with team/parents or carers/children and outside agencies when necessary.
• To work as a key Person to a group of children.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children under 5 – preferred.
• First Aid qualification or a willingness to do it.
• Food hygiene qualification, or a willingness to do it.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, or a willingness to do a course.
• Knowledge of the EYFS who understands the planning cycle-obs, assess, plan, evaluate.
• Good basic skills; literacy and numeracy.
