Role Overview:

As the Team Manager, you'll lead the Family Safeguarding team with a focus on both strategic vision and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include overseeing team performance, providing lead supervision, ensuring budgetary compliance, and fostering a child-centred approach throughout the services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the team strategically, guiding them towards achieving overarching goals and objectives.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage the performance of social workers, providing support and guidance where needed.
  • Supervision: Conduct lead supervision sessions to ensure high-quality practice and professional development among team members.
  • Budget Management: Ensure effective management of budgets, optimising resources to deliver the best outcomes for children and families.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and development, implementing strategies to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Provide coaching and mentoring to social workers, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to positive change.
  • Child-Centred Approach: Promote a child-centred approach throughout the team and broader services, ensuring that the needs and best interests of children remain at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
