Children's Social Worker - Family Support & Protection

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced social worker to join our clients frontline safeguarding service, working with children and families subject to long term statutory intervention. As an agency worker, you will benefit from a high hourly rate for a 3 to 6-month contract.

With a Good Ofsted rating, our client is well regarded for providing high-quality services to vulnerable children and their families. With multi-agency early help support, the Council is responsive to their needs and provides coordinated support that is assessed on an individual basis, and the results have seen positive outcomes for those receiving these services.

As a social worker, you will have the opportunity to work with service users who have a CIN or CP plan while ensuring that referrals into the multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) are appropriate. You'll also benefit from seamless information sharing between services, ensuring that you have all relevant information at your fingertips.

Responsibilities:
- Manage individual caseloads, balancing supervision for children subject to a Child Protection Plan or Child in Need Plan
- Assess, manage, and review the needs of children, young people, and their families on child protection plans and children in need plans
- Undertake statutory duties including assessments, statutory visits, and report the outcome of these actions in a timely manner
- Work to maintain current lawmakers within the social care sectors

Requirements:
- Social work child protection experience
- Familiarity with thresholds within safeguarding practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and accompanying regulations and guidance
- Social Work England registration
- Degree in Social Care or equivalent
