Acorn by Synergie is searching for a Product Support Engineer to join their client, a leading manufacturer of safety system equipment based in Bristol.

Reporting to the Product Support Lead, forming part of the product development team, the purpose of the role is to create technical documentation to the varied projects, integrate external products into the company portfolio and provide training and support at all levels on the products and systems.

Duties will include:

*Develop technical product documentation in the form of datasheets and manuals for all business areas.

*Develop technical test and specification documentation. In-shop testing specifications for product manufacturer and qualification.

*Review and approve technical documentation.

*Develop and deliver training sessions and materials for all business areas - design, commissioning, installation, end user and client.

*Working closely with clients to ensure any design changes are fully understood, challenged and meet standards.

*Delivering design related changes via presentations, training and technical drawings.

* Evaluate test, review and provide feedback on software and firmware releases. Ensure all software releases are fully functional, to specification, usable and complaint.

The successful candidate must have knowledge and experience designing and commissioning fire alarm systems to BS5839. Previous experience working on major construction projects. Competent in generating technical documents and specifications. Competent in reading and understanding plans and electrical schematics.

The role is hybrid. Attendance at the Bristol office is required regularly.

Salary is dependent on knowledge and experience to offer.
