Civil Site Manager (Permanent)

My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Civil Site Manager to oversee a large Civils Project in Teesside.

This is working for a well established civil engineering firm based in the North East.

This is for a permanent contract; current project estimated to last at least 6 months but likely to be extended. Current works is Drainage and Large Concrete Flooring Slabs so ideal candidate will have experience working and supervising in Heavy Civils Projects and working with Reinforced Concrete (RC).

Salary is dependant on experience and is ranging from 40-50k per annum with additional benefits

• Contract will be a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for this to be extended due to extensive work load
• Temp to permanent opportunity is an option for the right candidate
• Must have previous experience with managing heavy civils projects
• Will be located on one site for the duration of contract, with potential to be moved afterwards
• This role is working for a well known company with a very good reputation and a busy order book.
• Rate is negotiable depending on experience - we can pay CIS, PAYE or umbrella

Duties

• Day to day management of site and operatives
• Ensuring health and safety is adhered to
• The Site Manager will be required to monitor progress of job against programme, ensuring relevant paperwork is up to date including risk assessments and method statements
• Ordering of materials and plant
• Monitoring and tracking costs
• Liaising with clients, contractors and employees on a daily basis
• Reporting directly into the contracts manager on a regular basis.

Requirements

• SMSTS
• Previous experience working as a Site Manager on Civil Projects and be able to provide references to validate this
• Proof of right to work documents
• First aid
• Engineering background is highly desired
