We are looking for a Mental Health Enablement Officer to works closely with people who have severe and enduring mental health support needs in order to improve their ability to live independently and participate in the community, as well as improve quality of life and well-being.
What they offer:
- Up to £16 per hour
- 3 month ongoing contract
- Full-Time role working 36 hours a week
Working mainly 1:1 in people's homes and in the community, we provide short-term intensive support to achieve a range of agreed and personalised outcomes. Our work includes resettlement and outreach work, and support to access opportunities in employment, education and leisure.
Requirements:
- The candidate will need to be a driver with full driving licence but do not need to own a car. We have a pool car.
- Proven experience of working as main support worker to a caseload of adults who have primary, severe and enduring mental health needs
- Experience of working independently in the community, providing practical and emotional support to service users, using a person-centred approach
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014
- Enhanced DBS
- Available to start within 2 weeks
