Senior Commercial Manager (Contract)
We're looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team providing commercial support to our railway works between central London and Chelmsford
Position Overview
An opportunity exists for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our contract working on the rail from London to Chelmsford for Network Rail.
As Senior Commercial Manager you will be predominantly responsible for aspects of the contract related to civil engineering and structures. You will be consistently implementing best commercial practice through production of cost plans, dealing with Sub-Contractors, risk management and providing valuation of change expertise. You will also be supporting the reporting requirements to both internal and external stakeholders as well as production of KPI's.
As a Senior member of the Commercial team you will also be accountable for the management and development of your direct reports.
You will be joining an existing and successful commercial team responsible for delivering c£50m per year through NR's Central Panels Framework Contract. You will be supported in your role and by joining this team access the career development opportunities provided by the Framework.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this position you will need to have solid experience of managing projects as part of a commercial function, with proven experience in change management and valuation of change. Any experience within the Rail industry would be advantageous. Similarly a relevant qualification or relevant body membership would be beneficial
