Are you an experienced Safety Shop Technician looking for a new challenge?

JMC Recruitment are working with one of the UK's premier Aviation FBO & Maintenance Repair Organisations who are looking to add an experience Safety Shop Technician to their team.

This is a permanent position based in Southend paying £25,00 pa

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor you will join the workshop team and be responsible for carrying out testing of emergency evacuation slides in line with quality and safety requirements.

Main responsibility and Duties include

• Surveying, packing and testing emergency evacuation slides in accordance with original manufacturers manuals and instructions
• Ensuring quality standards and procedures are observed and maintained at all times
• Establishing and maintaining a legally compliant and safe working environment
• Preparing workshop reports and material reviews to allow the purchasing and commercial department to create customer estimates
• Undertaking risk assessments and ensuring safety requirements are met
• Understanding customer needs and ensuring that these are met and exceeded at all time

The successful Safety Shop Technician will be able to demonstrate the following attributes

• Previous working knowledge within a similar role and a background within an aviation environment is essential
• An understanding of the requirements of delivering maintenance repairs and overhaul of aircraft components with EASA pt 145 regulatory requirements
• Solid understanding of MS Office and business systems and procedures
• Able interoperate manuals and record inspection findings
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Highly safety conscious with strong attention to detail and accuracy levels
